Ian Readman

Director and Co-founder

Ian possesses a rare combination of proven business acumen, market vision and commitment to customer service. As a pioneer in the development of innovative virtualisation and online services, he set up Intercept IT in 2002. Since then, the company has grown rapidly, gaining accreditation with global vendors such as Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, and HP. Understanding the IT challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses, Ian co-developed Intercept IT’s OnlineDesktopTM. This innovative, subscription-based software-as-a-service solution was one of the first of its kind in the UK. Ian has 25 years’ commercial experience and started out developing engineering quality assurance systems for the oil and gas industry. Ian also featured in the Courvoisier Future 500 list of the country's top achievers.

Richard Gilder

CEO

A prolific investor, Richard holds executive and non-executive directorships for a number of technology firms, including Intercept IT where he is a significant shareholder. He brings over twenty years experience running successful businesses in sectors as diverse as property and technology. Most recently, Richard established a value added distributor for Citrix and server-based computing solutions. He is a fervent believer in the power of people and technology to transform business operations to reduce costs and improve productivity, and is a relentlessly positive change agent within Intercept IT.

A passionate sales leader, Stuart has a track record of building sales teams focused on client relationships and delivering service excellence. A proven record of growing businesses, Stuarts talent is understanding clients business goals and translating those objectives into technical solutions that deliver real business benefits and returns on investment. Starting his career as a technical consultant, Stuart held several senior positions at Fujitsu and managing Microsoft’s UK end user support services. In 2002 whilst heading Atlantic Telecom’s European Internet Services Division, Stuart led the communications solution project for the Manchester Commonwealth Games delivering voice and Internet connectivity to all Games venues and athletes accommodation. His focus at Intercept IT is delivering high quality business solutions to clients and ensuring that services is also delivered with excellence.

Gary Collins

Director and Co-founder

Based on Gary’s technical vision, Intercept IT has become an industry leader in virtualisation, unified communications and cloud services. Gary has created a family of innovative, award-winning online and virtualisation services that continue to keep Intercept IT ahead of the competition. Gary is a non-executive director of Independent Transport Associates Limited who provide specialist services to the rail industry. Before co-founding Intercept IT, Gary worked for Corporate IT and Netforce Group - which is now part of Thus plc. He started his twenty year career in technology at Polygram as a business analyst and programmer.

Hans Middleburg

Non-Executive Director

Hans holds executive and advisory roles at several companies and has over 20 years experience and proven success as a leader in the technology field. His talent is in his inherent ability to grow companies and transform them from the inside out into substantially lucrative and strong brands. Most notably he served as CEO of RES Software for 4 years, during which time he grew the company from a 20 employee organisation into a highly profitable, international company with over 100 staff.

Gemma Tucker - Financial Controller

With a financial career spanning seventeen years, Gemma oversees the Finance department and is responsible for developing strategies and financial models for growth. Having evolved numerous financial management controls within Intercept IT, Gemma is passionate about providing knowledgeable and accurate management reporting to assist in key business decisions. Before joining Intercept IT Gemma acquired a wealth of experience in financial management roles at the Royal Society of Arts and Genweb Ltd, having started her career at the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Combining commercial understanding of the challenges facing a growing business with strong financial control, analysis and reporting skills, Gemma is dedicated to continuing to provide the strategic financial systems to facilitate Intercept IT’s commitment to excellence and growth.
